In 2014, Gustin approached me to help create their footwear division. I designed Gustin’s signature styles according to their specifications and sourced manufacturers in Tuscany and Civitanova Marche. We settled on an amazing factory outside of Florence that has been making shoes since the 1960s. I developed the prototypes and samples together with the factory’s modelista, and sourced all materials and components, even the packaging. I followed production and quality control until I transferred to Los Angeles in 2018. Today I continue to manage new development and orders, and coordinate with my QC technician in Italy to watch production on the ground.
